Raja Ampat Island and Its Beauty
Raja Ampat is an archipelago in the northwest region of West
Papua, Indonesia. The islands are actually composed of 1,500 small islands.
There are only four of the largest islands namely Waigeo Island, Misool Island,
Salawati Island, and Island Batanta. The total area of water and land in Raja Ampat 40,000 km2,
has been covering the area of the largest marine national park in Indonesia,
namely Cendrawasih Bay.
Raja Ampat underwater beauty is well known among
professional divers in the world . Raja Ampat Islands waters is one of the 10
best waters for diving sites around the world. In fact, it may also be
recognized as number one for the completeness of underwater flora and fauna at
this time because it is enriched with 540 types of coral, 1,511 species of fish,
and 700 species of molluscs is here. And according to The Nature Conservancy
and Conservation International, there are about 75% of the world's marine species
live in this amazing island. Hence it is also known as Raja Ampat islands are
rich in marine life.
Now many travel agencies offer packages to Raja Ampat diving,
especially with the use of the houseboat or liveaboard. Routes and diving spots
depending on current conditions and visibility (water clarity) when last trip.
In July, Raja Ampat winds tend to be passed from the south. Meanwhile, the area
that must be visited while vacationing in Raja Ampat is the northern region.
