Some Interesting Facts About Miss World 2013 Pageant in Indonesia

Miss World 2013 pageant had just completed successfully held in Bali, Indonesia some time ago . International beauty pageant 63rd won by beautiful woman from the Philippines named Megan Lynn Young . But the success of this beauty pageant was not free from controversy and interesting fact . Here were some interesting facts about Miss World 2013 Pageant in Indonesia:
  • Miss World 2013 was held for the first time in Southeast Asia, and Indonesia believed to be the host of the international beauty pageant .  
  • Miss World event in Indonesia got the rejection from the number of Islamic - based organizations such as Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI), and the Front Pembela Islam (FPI). They reject the Miss World pageant was held in Indonesia because not in accordance with
    eastern culture. As we know that Indonesia is a country with the largest muslim population in the world. Miss World pageant synonymous with something fulgar especially in sessions in which the contestants were required to wear a swimsuit .    Therefore special for the Miss world pageant held in Indonesia, swimsuit session changed to be the Beach Fashion session with wearing Balinese cloth. 
  • Megan Lynn Young who was the winner of Miss World 2013 was the first South East Asian woman to win Miss World pageant in.
  • Although she represented the Philippines but it turns out Megan Young was born in US. With her physical beauty and brain, she was able to make the judges gave her the highest score. Before crowned as Miss World 2013 Megan Young had won the first position in the Top 11 Beach Fashion Challenge and successfully won the Top Model competition.
