The virus is confirmed to have infected over 20,000 others, more than 150 outside China, the majority with mild symptoms. There have been confirmed instances of human-to-human transmission, including in the US, Germany and Japan. Health officials advise that more cases potentially remain unconfirmed or unreported. Actions to take If you have recently returned from a location which has experienced an outbreak, monitor your health for 14 days and consider using flexible working arrangements as a precaution.
